Low-interest rates and the Federal Government’s HomeBuild grant has seen demand for custom-built homes hit an all-time high, especially in NSW.
Recent data shows NSW has had a 35.4 per cent increase in total quotes by value for custom-built homes with more than 13,600 construction grants with HomeBuild already taken up in the Premier State with the average estimate of new, custom builds also increasing, from $466k in the middle of 2020 to $538K by the end of last year.
With rising demand, custom builders have had to provide variety not just in style, and design but also catering for first-home buyers to those wishing to upscale to a bigger, more modern residence or those looking to maximise return on an existing block of land with a range of options from dual occupancy, to medium density housing.
